Today was rough, that’s for sure. I never slept, because I pulled an all-nighter. In the long run, this wasn’t the best idea.
I went up to my room at around 5:15 to do my final cleaning and pack my personal bag. I vacuumed quickly, took care of Peyton’s sheets for her, emptied our trash for the final time, and did one final check to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything. We had been using my Carthage I.D. as the card in our light switch, so I had to make sure I didn’t forget that.
At 6, I was all ready, so I walked down early to the lobby. The vans were already there, so I put my luggage in the back and sat with Sam Ram, Nicole, Jackson, and Carlin. We had extra space, so we all were able to sit comfortable.
However, I had just finished two Winter Edition Red Bulls, and Jackson told me my blood was probably pure sugar. They were waiting for me to crash. Sam and I split another Red Bull, but even with that, I still managed to doze on the way to the airport.

Once we were there, I got my final Espresso house latte and a sandwich, then on the flight, I knocked out again. It was only an hour flight, so the next thing I knew, we were landing in Stockholm. It really made the time fly, that’s for sure.

We cut our connecting flight really close though, and that was nerve-wracking. We had to take a shuttle to make our flight, and boarding was on its last call by the time we made it there.

On the plane, I finished two and a half pages of my essay, so I was completely done with my work. After that, I ate our flight dinner, which was surprisingly good.
Then I slept for at least four or five hours. That’s when the trouble started.

Somehow, I managed to drop my journal INTO the plane. A panel that wasn’t meant to be open was, and my journal fell into it and was lost forever.
I feel incredibly bad about it, but at least I finished my essay before hand.
I tried to sleep some more, but I was too nervous about my journal possibly wrecking something in the plane. That made it hard to relax.
Finally, finally, we were home. As much as Sweden was fun, I missed the U.S. The minute I landed, I got to call my grandma, and it was the best.

I slept the whole bus ride home, and the first thing I did was shower. It was a great time, but now I’m ready to sleep for three days.
Daily Reflections
1. Planes get very boring after a while.
2. I need to have better coordination.
3. All-nighters are not for me.
