This morning had a rough start. My alarm didn’t go off, or maybe it did, and I just didn’t hear it. I still was ready at the appropriate time, but I only had time to do my foundation and eyebrows this morning.
For once, I didn’t eat bread for breakfast. I still had my ginger shot and coffee and some weird fruit that I still don’t know the name of.
Then, Matt led us to Qualisys, and while we didn’t get lost, we had to climb a hill, and that was rough. I was out of breath by the end of it. Walking in, I didn’t know what to expect, but it was really cool.

We walked downstairs to their demo room and sat through a thorough presentation. It was actually their 30th anniversary in 2019! They’re involved in the motion capture industry, and they are in the high end, high quality segment.

They have inside the lab and outside the lab cameras, they sell 2500 a year, and they are made in Sweden. In 1991, they got involved in life sciences and engineering, and in 2019, they got involved in entertainment. They even work with Harvard, BMW, the Olympics, ABB, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Also, they have the only underwater motion capture system, and in two weeks, they’ll have a virtual reality arcade!

They showed us two demos, and we learned that Robbie is basically a professional athlete. Also, we got to see the technology that video games potentially use for this sort of thing.
They even made gift bags for us and gave us shirts with motion capture dot images on them! That was so kind, and we were all very surprised.

Next, Peyton led us to SKF. It was a semi-long tram ride, but we got there just fine. SKF was extremely impressive. They were founded around the Industrial Revolution, and in their first four years, they made no profit, which would discourage most people.

Lars gave a great tour, and all the automation was so smooth and high-tech. They gave us ball bearing key chains, and I love mine so much.

They even have a miniature city to demonstrate everything that uses ball bearings.

Their campus is so large that they even have their own emergency numbers and small transportation system.
Finally, Peyton and I presented Lars with the gifts we brought, and we made our way back to the hostel.

Once we got back, I showed J.J. and Jan my blog, then headed to dinner. Sam, Nicole, Ashley, and I went out to the Aveny/Nordstan area decided to walk around to look for a restaurant. We ended up finding a cute place and got dinner at Dine Burger.
It was delicious, and we had mixed fries, which are regular mixed with sweet potato fries.

Overall, I had a great night with some of the girls!
